Already have a current certifier or council report?

Not happy with what they have suggested?

Read below what many councils are saying in their reports

"Council officers do not provide design advice, nor do they have any preferences in respect of materials used in barriers. All new barriers and modifications must comply with the standards in respect to height, structural strength, and non-climbable zones. Any site related discussions are undertaken for the purpose of providing general information only. It is up to the pool owner, and experts employed by them, to make design and construction decisions."  Ryde Council swimming pool inspection - END OF SCHEDULE - certifiers report June 2020

Do you know that you do not necessarily have to do what the certifier suggests you to do as there may be other alternatives that will still make your pool area compliant?

If you are in this situation and currently under a certifiers report, we at Pool Fence Doctor® may be able to offer an alternative rectification solution so you can still obtain that Certificate of Compliance.

Do you know that our main point of difference with the average pool fence installer is that we are also fully NSW accredited E1 Swimming Pool Certifiers, so we know all the rules?

Do not gamble with contracting your new pool fence to just any installers – ask them are they fully accredited like us!

We at the Pool Fence Doctor® will listen to your concerns, whether they are to do with existing hedges around boundary fences, privacy or any other non-compliant related issues, we may be able to give you the outcome that you want.

We have years of practical experience in offering solutions from outside the square with these challenges.

UPGRADE

In NSW the certifier can examine your pool under 3 standards (depending on when your pool was originally built )

  1. AS1926 - 1986 Standard
  2. AS1926.1 - 2007 Standard
  3. AS1926.1-2012 Standard

When the Council or E1 Certifier examines your pool they will be looking for any non compliancy issues. If any are found it may cause a trigger for then to upgrade your pool to be inspected with the latest Australian standard AS1926.1-2012.

We can arrange an upgrade for your swimming pool barriers to AS1926.1-2012.

There are often more than one way to make your pool barrier compliant. We make suggestions that can often be more cost effective to get your pool compliant.

Boundary Fencing Made Compliant

The Boundary Fence tends to be the most common cause for non compliant pool barriers. With the introduction of AS 1926.1-2007 and AS 1926.1-2012 the boundary fence, which acts as a barrier to the pool, needs to be a minimum of 1800mm above FGL measured on the inside of the pool area. Plus there is a NCZ 5 which is a quadrant of 900mm radius down from the top of the inside of the barrier. Within this zone there can be no objects of things with indentations or projections greater than 10mm.

Pool Gates Not Self Closing or Latching - Bestko Hinges Not Working?

All Pool Gates need to open away from the pool area. All Pool Gates need to be able to self close from any position, without the use of force, including when the gate is just resting on the latch. A Non Compliant pool gate is the most common way that a young child usually gets access to the pool area. Make sure that your Pool Gate complies with the standards. Bestko soft close hinge replacements.

Compliance Certification Guaranteed

Once your pool has been successful upgraded or new Glass or Aluminium pool fence has been installed to your Certifiers Report they will forward to you a valid Certificate of Compliance. We at Pool Fence Doctor® can help guide you with the best method to secure that Certificate and we do not necessarily have to follow the certifiers recommendations, in fact, we often ring the certifier to discuss any possible alternative and once they agree we will Guarantee Compliance for your pool fence and barriers

Council or E1 Certifiers Report

The Council or E1 Accredited Certifiers Written Notice of Non Compliance is a document that will be issued to you if your pool is not compliant. It will state what are the issues with your pool and will generally refer back to the standard that it does not comply with.

We at The Pool Fence Doctor® are also fully Accredited NSW E1 Certifiers and are fully trained & experienced with the 3 NSW Standards (AS1926-1986, AS1926.1-2007 & AS1926.1-2012) We know what we need to do to get your Pool Fencing Safe & Certified with a minimum of expense. We encourage you to think twice before you decide to give your pool upgrades to any Handyman or Fence Installer? Ask them if they are fully familiar with all the rules pertaining to the 3 NSW Australian Standards. (Please Note: - once we complete your pool rectifications we cannot issue a certificate of compliance due to conflict of interest but encourage you to seek independent certification for your pool barriers or we can suggest one for you.
